Sallie Cobbler Turner age 82 passed away on June 21, 2016 at Pioneer Hospital in Stuart.
She was born Feb. 24, 1934 in Martinsville to the late Henry and Annie Cobler Cobbler. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one husband James Gilbert Turner in 1959, a brother Henry Cobbler, and her four sisters, Dorothy Crowder, Christine Hall, Daisy Cobbler, and Elizabeth Willard.

Mrs. Turner retired from Bassett Walker/Vanity Fair Knitting with 30 years of service, and she attended the Church of God.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry Turner and wife Wanda of Grafton, VA, and Darrell Turner of Roanoke, VA., three grandchildren who adore their dear Granny, Keith Turner and wife Roxie, Bethany Murphy and her husband Padraic, and Nicholas Turner, her two great grandchildren, the littlest members of her family, Thomas and Samuel Turner, one brother, Tyler Cobbler of Fieldale, and her special friend, Cleo Taylor of Collinsville.

Her funeral service will be Friday June 24, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
