Frankie Pearl Tolbert Bowman age 77, formerly of Bassett, went to be with the Lord on Sunday Aug. 14, 2016 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born April 11, 1939 in Surry County, NC to the late Martin and Pearl Sawyers Tolbert. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her two sons, Dennis Dean Bowman and Steve L. Bowman, five brothers, Curtis, David, Arnold, Bill, and Kenneth Tolbert, and three sisters, Kathline Beck, Ann Lee Tolbert, and Thelma Hall.

She had attended Collinsville Church of Christ and had retired from J.D. Bassett Manufacturing with over 25 years of service.

Mrs. Bowman is survived by her daughter in law, Teresa Bowman of Collinsville, three granddaughters, Crystal McBride and her husband Robert of Claudville, Tina Bowman and her special friend Jeff Mayes of Bassett, Jenna Bateman and her husband Daniel of Collinsville, three sisters, Hester Lester of Bassett, Mary Sias of Mt. Airy, NC, and Lilly Brooks of Dobson, NC, and five great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday Aug. 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Bud Sedwick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday Aug. 16, 2016 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of her daughter in law, Teresa Bowman, at 290 Bowles Road, Collinsville.
