Obituary for
Roy Arnold Jenkins
Roy Arnold Jenkins, age 73 of Ridgeway, passed away on April 24, 2017 at the Veterans Hospital in Roanoke. He was born in Leaksville, NC on May 18, 1943 to the late Dennis and Louise Barnes Jenkins.
He was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School, a self-employed Insurance Agent and Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Roy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Kevin Reamey of Axton, a granddaughter, Tegan Jenkins, a special step-son, Rob Haley of Eden, NC, and three brothers, Marvin (Geraldene) Jenkins of Ridgeway, Jerry (Aleta) Jenkins of Midilothian and Gary (Glenda) Jenkins of Danville.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rob Haley officiating the service. Interment will follow with military honors presented by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home of his daughter, at 198 Triple Creek Drive, Axton.
