Robert Clay "Bob"  Peters
Robert Clay “Bob” Peters age 75 of Martinsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 27, 2017 at his home. He was born June 18, 1941 in Danville, VA to the late Henry Davis and Lottie Mae Cooper Peters. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Davis Peters, one sister Joyce Williams, and his stepmother Madeline Peters..

He was a longtime member of The Church at Mercy Crossing, worked 30 years as a Prison Ministry Volunteer, and retired from Hooker Furniture Co. with over 39 years service.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nellie G. Peters of the home, one son and daughter in law, Randy and Deana Peters of Bassett, four brothers, Jasper Peters and Everett Peters both of Axton, Barry Peters of Bassett, and Dale Peters of Ridgeway, one sister, Carolyn P. Duncan of Axton, and two granddaughters, Ashley Bowers of Spencer, and Amber McCain of Martinsville.

Bob's Celebration of Life service and visitation will be Wednesday May 31, 2017 at The Church at Mercy Crossing, with Pastors Jackie Poe and Jimmy Wood officiating, visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and the funeral service follows the visitation. Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in Roselawn. Online condolences may be entered at www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com.
