Deanna Joyce Roettger (Varner)
Deanna Joyce Varner Roettger age 77 of Fieldale passed away on Friday Nov. 17, 2017 at Stanleytown Rehab. She was born Feb. 16, 1940 in Henry County to the late Thomas Franklin and Irene Joyce Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one grandson, Jacob Matthew Boyd.
Mrs. Roettger was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church, a graduate of Fieldale H.S. Class of 1958, had a Associates Degree from Patrick Henry C.C. in paralegal studies, and retired from Pluma with over 20 years service.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Rose Boyd of Collinsville, and Jane Rae Turner of Martinsville, four grandchildren, Tomas Michael Boyd of Collinsville, Kyah Renae Draper of Fairfax, Kody Reann Draper of Fieldale, Katy Rhyan Draper of Fairfax, two great grandchildren, Sarah Ahlivia Boyd and Cheyanne Skie Boyd, both of Bassett.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday Nov. 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday Nov. 21, 2017 in Roselawn Chapel, additionally the family will receive friends at the homes of Joyce Boyd, 1659 Daniels Creek Rd., Collinsville, and Jane Turner, 1017 Indian Trail, Martinsville.
