Mentor/Friend

Michael was one of the key figures in my acting life.  A true friend and mentor, he took a chance on a guy who, at the time, had very little experience as an actor, and invited me in to the Circle Repertory Lab.  It became my first acting home.  He set the tone, and I learned more than I can say at the Lab.  Through his guidance, friendship and loyalty, he made me a better actor and a better person.  The name of Michael Warren Powell may not be known to the masses, but to those who he took under his wing, he will always be a giant.  I will miss him and think of him often, but I go forward knowing carrying the principles and knowledge he shared with me.
