I met Michael Powell and Lanford Wilson at a wild gay party on West 83rd Street. I fell madly in love with these refreshing and enthusiastic theatre folk, and I pointed out the Caffe Cino as one place that might want new work. This was probably in 1964ish. They went there, and I followed. The paths of Michael and myself crossed many times after that. He starred in my "Thank You, Miss Victoria," which toured all over Europe and then played Off-Broadway. He directed a fine production of "As Is." He was a perceptive member of Circle Rep.
